At Takshashila Institute of Autism and Neurodevelopmental Sciences, we strongly believe that the quality of support a child receives is directly influenced by the knowledge, sensitivity, and practical skills of the people working with them.
Children with developmental and neurodevelopmental challenges benefit most when they are supported by trained individuals who understand their unique learning styles, communication needs, behavioural patterns, sensory experiences, and emotional wellbeing. Early and appropriate intervention delivered by skilled professionals can significantly improve developmental outcomes and quality of life.
With this vision, Takshashila is committed to creating a growing community of informed, compassionate, and well-trained caregivers, educators, support professionals, and shadow teachers who can provide meaningful developmental support to children across home, school, therapy, and community environments.
Our training programs are designed to combine practical learning, evidence-based approaches, real-world exposure, and child-centered strategies that help participants develop both professional competence and compassionate understanding.
At Takshashila Institute of Autism and Neurodevelopmental Sciences, training is not limited to classroom learning — it is about developing confidence, practical understanding, empathy, and the ability to create positive developmental experiences for children with diverse needs.
Our goal is to contribute toward building a stronger workforce of trained professionals and caregivers who can support children with developmental challenges through informed, inclusive, and evidence-based practices.
We envision a future where every child has access to skilled support systems that help them learn, communicate, participate, and thrive with dignity and independence.
Learn. Observe. Practice. Grow.
The Takshashila Internship Program provides students and aspiring professionals with meaningful practical exposure to child development, rehabilitation, psychology, special education, and multidisciplinary intervention. Interns gain an opportunity to observe professional practices, understand developmental assessment and intervention processes, participate in structured activities, prepare case documentation, and learn through supervised practical experiences. The program is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world practice while developing professional sensitivity, ethical understanding, communication skills, and a child-centered approach. Internship opportunities may be offered to students from Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Nursing, Allied Health, and related disciplines.
Creating Safer Spaces. Protecting Childhood.
Takshashila conducts POCSO awareness and training programs to strengthen understanding of child protection, safeguarding, professional boundaries, and institutional responsibilities. The training helps educators, caregivers, professionals, students, and organizations understand the principles of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, recognize potential warning signs, respond appropriately to disclosures, and promote safe and respectful environments for children. The program emphasizes prevention, awareness, responsible conduct, child-sensitive communication, and the importance of maintaining robust child protection practices within educational, therapeutic, and community settings.
Practical Learning for Real-World Impact.
Takshashila offers interactive workshops and certificate programs designed to enhance practical knowledge and skills among parents, caregivers, educators, shadow teachers, students, and professionals working with children. The programs cover a wide range of topics including autism, ADHD, developmental delays, behaviour management, communication, sensory processing, inclusive education, classroom strategies, social skills, activities of daily living, positive parenting, child development, safeguarding, and neurodiversity. Through expert-led sessions, demonstrations, case discussions, practical activities, and experiential learning, participants are encouraged to translate knowledge into meaningful support strategies for children and families.
